LEARN ABOUT SWYAA EDUCATION PROGRAM

SWYAA-India teaches deprived children in ten open schools and educates 600 children in the age group of 4 to 14 years living in the slum clusters in New Delhi. In the open schools children receive educational inputs up to primary level as per our curriculum. As multi group and multi-level children are enrolled in the classes,our teachers prepare separate lesson plans for younger children in the age group of 4-6 years and for older children in the age group 7 years and above. Younger children 4-6 years were taught to count, recite, identify and write numbers from 1-9 using teaching learning material and simple toys. They are taught simple activities like counting with beads, games, using the counting chart, writing on their slates etc. Education inhygiene and other socialization skillsare imparted to make these children get mainstreamed in the educational system. The monthly assessment plans include observing their ability of comprehension,listening skills and ability to recite what is taught.In the remedial classes children studying in government schools in standards 3rd to 5th we help them to complete their homework and learn useful skills.
