The‘Next Generation Global Leaders Program 2015 "The Ship for World Youth Leaders" will be coming to India for Port of Call at Chennai from 9th to 12th February 2016. .

The program of POC is as under:
    Arrival of ship in Chennai on Tuesday, 9th February 2016 at 15:00 hrs.
    On board reception on 9th February 2016 from 19.00 hrs. - 21:00 hrs.
    POC activities on Wednesday 10th and Thursday 11th February
    Departure of ship from Chennai on Friday 12th February 2016 at 17:00 hrs.

Ports of Call Activities
Expected Outcomes (Goals):
• Implement international protocol on the occasions of official ceremonies such as courtesy calls and receptions. • Deepen understanding of activities in the country through the institutional visit relevant to the Course Discussion themes – bring the learning back to the discussions onboard. • Understand about culture, history, and social situation of the country. • Develop international awareness and international friendship through the exchange with local youth.

Proposed activities:

• Courtesy call • Onboard reception • Institutional visits that are closely related with Course Discussion themes • Visit to a rural village or family homes to experience the actual lifestyle and culture of the local people • Experience traditional culture or visit to a college/university to have discussions with the local students • Few hours of free time

Activities at Ports of Call:

• Activities at ports of call are planned by the respective government of the receiving country, and SWY Alumni Association supports its implementation. • Government representatives and SWYAA volunteers will be staying onboard the ship during the port of call activities: please welcome them so that they will feel at home.

Expectations for the PYs:

• Always observe punctuality for smooth operation of the program. • Express your gratitude to the receiving organization. • Proactively interact with local people.
